BIRD FUN

I participated in the Great BackYard Bird Count (February 15, 2008), and I saw the following birds in my backyard:

1 Rock Pigeon

2 Mourning Doves

10 American Crows

2 American Robins

1 Northern Cardinal

4 Brown-headed Cowbirds

2 House Finches

4 House Sparrows

I think the House Finches I saw are the same two that always build a nest on top of one of the posts on our front porch each year.

I built a bird feeder and a bird house and hung them on the front porch.  It has been fun to watch the birds coming and going.  This year we are going to relocate the feeder because it is so messy on the porch.  I think we are going to place it in the backyard so we can watch the birds while we have some "down time" in the pool.
