OPERATION INASMUCH

APRIL 19, 2008

We met for breakfast at our church, Ardmore Baptist, and after food and fellowship, we got into our groups.

Our group went to Miller Park, where we cleaned up a stream and its banks.  I found out that our church had "adopted" that stream a few years ago.  I though that was pretty cool.

Since Pastor Bill and I were the ONLY ones to wear boots, we were able to go into the stream.  I thought it was great to work with Pastor Bill and be a good steward of God's creation.  Earth Day is right around the corner, so I thought about that while I was picking up trash.

I thought there was a lot of  trash, but it was cleaner than I had imagined.

I enjoyed being at Miller Park, helping to make it cleaner.

Next year, I want to be a part of this group, going to Miller Park to clean up the stream.  In the meantime, I will be mindful of trash that others leave behind, and I will help to keep God's beautiful creation clean...everyday.

Thank you, Ardmore Baptist, for being part of OPERATION INASMUCH.  Thank you, Pastor Bill, for letting me play work with you.  I had a great time!

TODAY I MADE A DIFFERENCE!
